We offer three education programs to the community:
"Diabetes Self Care Workshops" are for adults living with diabetes and their families.
"Diabetes Education In The Community For Kids" (DECK) provides training and certification for school personnel caring for a child with type 1 diabetes while at school.
"Food Science for Kids" offers education on nutrition and exercise to promote healthy family lifestyles.

Our agency maintains a year round, free diabetes screening program in the community for the public. To be tested you must be 18 years or older. Please click "learn more" below for a list of screening locations.

âOur agency stresses the importance of prevention and education related to diabetes mellitus. Our organization also concentrates on the services to the general public by disseminating accurate information about diabetes mellitus, highlighting the importance of early onset recognition through our screening program, the importance of medical supervision and treatment, and methods pertaining to proper management and self glucose monitoring. We also offer a day camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes.
